Lazy Eco Must Haves - Guest Blog post by Jasmin

Live, Love, Lazy Must Have Eco Products

I wouldn’t say I’m an expert when it comes to being lazy but if there was a zombie apocalypse I’d be the first to go. Like I wouldn’t run, I’d just sit on the couch, eatin me chips, binging Netflix and patting my cats, who when I think about it, would probably be the ones to turn me. Fun thoughts. Anyway, long and irrelevant intro aside, have a read if you too follow the live, love, lazy mantra and are looking a few lazy friendly, low waste products!

B.Bold Natural Deodorant Cream.

This is literally one of my personal favourites. My go to is Lavendar and Eucalyptus because it’s sensitive skin friendly and smells amazing! How is rubbing cream deodorant into your pits lazy friendly though? To be fair, the actual task is the same amount of effort. However my experience has been that since making the switch from antiperspirant spray/roll on deodorants to the natural, toxin free, B.Bold deodorant cream that I actually stink less on the days I choose not to wear deodorant. I’ve also found that after sweating heavily I don’t need to reapply deodorant. A quick pop round to Dr Google says that it’s because antiperspirant can cause an imbalance of bacteria which makes you smell more. I will note that if you want to make the switch it can take up to 30 days for your body to remove the toxins built up by using antiperspirants, so on week two you may be smelling a bit ripe but trust the process, your body is detoxing. In the long run, natural deodorant is lazy friendly because your body’s natural odours will not smell as strong without it on, so you can skip a day of deodorant without offending judgful noses. Below is a wee graph showing the natural deodorant detox switch because who doesn’t love a graph?

AWWA Period Undies

I feel like I don’t need to vouch for these so much as the benefits of these undies are pretty well known! I will mention I’m a plus size gal and have a very heavy flow, talking like 6 super tampons + plus a pad on a good day, (heavy flow-ers will know). I have two pairs of Skye High AWWA undies and I generally need to swap about midday, I don’t feel gross, I don’t stink, it’s easy to tell when you need to swap as it starts to get a bit, for lack of a better word, moist, and you literally go to the bathroom take ‘em off put the other ones on. So yeah, AWWA period undies are great, less wastage, much cleaner, no traumatic hushing of your sanitary wrapper as you try to change it or getting blood on your hands as you swap for a fresh one.

Reusable Razor

I’ve had my reusable for I want to say three years now? It’s amazing, the fact that you can just buy blades straight from ethically.so in bulk (cheap too) and don’t have to stress about whether the nice disposable, over priced razors are in stock is amazing to me. I think I’ve only just run out of my second ten pack of blades which is freaking fantastic. The blades were super easy to keep sharp, just rinse with hot water after use! I also clean mine with an old toothbrush which seems to help too! I think I paid around $30 for mine, so I’ve saved money too!

Eyebrow Powder by ZAO

Let’s keep this short and sweet, great for eyebrows, eye shadow and very forgiving for active face touches like myself. I also love using the Zao Mineral Cooked Powder which is like a blush/contour and on days where I’m feeling less lazy as another colour for my eyeshadow. Original I know, but seriously both are great products (especially if you have sensitive skin) and they’ve have lasted me 2 years which is amazing! I’ll be buying the refills soon for sure.

There are so many other products I love, such as the Akaia Blends Day Brightening Cream and Night Repairing Cream or Hau Botanicals facial oil but I feel like these would be best left for another day and another topic.
