On The Road, My Low-Waste Essentials

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

It’s been a long time coming, but we finally managed to find some time to take a mini break away from the hustle and bustle of city life, full time work and running a business. Life has been pretty hectic this year, and with us not being able to go back to the UK for a visit in May it kind of put us down in the dumps slightly. As per usual I decided to keep myself distracted by planning our next mini adventure… our 7 year anniversary trip.

As I type this I’m currently sat in a mini hut called The Kawakawa Hut on the outskirts of Taupo. The fire is roaring, my bed-time tea is steaming, and the coconut and lime candle is flickering away on the wooden trunk which sits right in the middle of this mini house. I could get used to this. This little life of having no worries and my own space. For now however it is just a holiday and a dream that I hope will one day become a reality.

Where Has Life in The Slow Lane Gone?

Between all of this it didn’t leave me much time to think about packing for the 10-day road trip we were about to embark on. So what have I got with me you might be wondering. Well let me show you! (keep reading)

Home Time

So I may of got slightly distracted in writing this blog post and it is now our last day of the trip. We started in Taupo, headed for New Plymouth before ending in Raglan. It’s going to be a shock to the system heading back to the big smoke, but summer is coming and that definitely makes it easier.
